The WLJH Board of Directors is comprised of professional individuals with a wide range of experience, skills, diversity, to ensure the success of the program initiatives and overall business strategy. Most importantly they share a passion to build the capacity of women lawyers in developing countries.

Sheri Meyerhoffer

Sheri Meyerhoffer (BA’82,JD’85 University of Saskatchewan and MPA’18 Harvard Kennedy School) is the Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise. She is a Canadian lawyer with experience in both the private and international development sectors. A global governance and diversity expert she has assisted countries in transition, with policy formulation and negotiation at the highest levels. More › › ›

Robin L. Sully, Director

Recently retired as Director International Development, Canadian Bar Association (CBA) where from 1994 to 2013 she was responsible for the initiation, development, management and funding of the CBA's international rule of law programs which included projects in over 30 countries in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean and Central and Eastern Europe. Sapana Pradhan Malla was a member of the 2008-2012 Nepalese Constituent Assembly where, among her many other responsibilities, she served as the Gender Advisor to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. More › › ›





Working Committees

From time to time the WLJH Board of Directors will create working committees based on their requirements. The current committees are set out below:




Curriculum Development Committee

The mandate of the Curriculum Development Committee is to: determine the course content for the Foundation Course and for the practice skills seminars in years 1, 2 and 3; review and supervise the development of the materials for each of the curriculum modules by the international and Nepali instructors; and develop the evaluation materials for the interns.

Linda Robinson was a senior partner at Osler, Hoskin and Harcourt LLP in the Corporate Practice Group and immediate past Chair of the firm's National Business Law Department until her retirement in 2009. Her practice had a particular emphasis on both public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and restructurings and shareholder matters.More › › ›

Mara Nickerson

Mara Nickerson

Mara Nickerson is the Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. As CKO Mara is responsibile for ensuring that Osler's legal professionals have access to the information, resources and learning that will enable them to work efficiently, provide valued client service and share knowledge and expertise. Selection Committee

The mandate of the Selection Committee is to: set the criteria for selecting the WLJH Interns and law firms; establish the selection process; develop tools for the selection process; and, support implementation of the selection process.
